Description

Designation: The Osler Institute designates this live activity for a maximum of 30 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with their participation in the activity.

The Thoracic Surgery Review is a comprehensive three-day seminar featuring didactic lectures with embedded review questions throughout. Participants will also receive access to a searchable e-syllabus containing PDF copies of all PowerPoint presentations.

This course is designed to help physicians prepare for Thoracic Surgery board examinations while strengthening their overall clinical knowledge. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based medicine and board-relevant standards of care, incorporating current best practices in surgical techniques, treatment strategies, and postoperative management. As a result, the program serves as an excellent review for the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS) examinations and provides a valuable update for practicing physicians.

Previous participants have reported improved diagnostic and surgical planning strategies, along with a deeper understanding of the optimal surgical approaches across the core areas of thoracic surgery. The course also helps attendees identify areas of knowledge that may benefit from further self-study.

The webinar will be delivered via Zoom Cloud Meetings, allowing for live audio and visual interaction between participants and faculty. A computer with a reliable internet connection is recommended for optimal participation. Attendees may participate in the live sessions during the three-day program and use the recordings afterward to reinforce learning and support ongoing practice improvement.

All participants will receive complimentary streaming access to the course recordings through December 13, allowing ample opportunity for review.
